International community expressed his support for the salient message of H.M. Norodom Sihamoni raising his voice in the defense of the democratic process taking place in his country.
Cambodia will have perfect transparent and democratically valid elections in July 29 2018 stated the royal message.
In front of a media slur and outrageous misinformation campaign, destined to taint Cambodia`s people and authorities determination to host free, equal opportunity and transparent elections, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni has the final say, closing any honest debate on the subject: The Kingdom will enjoy free and fair elections and the people of Cambodia will have the full opportunity to express their views and decision for the country direction and leadership.
The royal message writes that:
“On this occasion, I would like to solemnly call for all eligible voters to cast their ballots in order to elect national leaders for development and glorious progress in all fields”.
His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni ends the debate for any honest observer of Kingdom`s politics: 2018 elections will be democratic and exemplary.
The monarch said the forthcoming election is a free, fair, and confidential election that goes with the liberal multi-party democracy, so the voters should not worry about any pressure or intimidation from anyone or any political party.
“I urge all the compatriots to exercise your rights to vote in according to your own conscience and to freely elect any candidate, any political party that you trust,” King Sihamoni said in a royal message released to the media.
Earlier the international community also praised the election preparations in regard to an outstanding PRESS CODE offering unequal access for the media and citizens to the information and enshrining election transparency as the main factor in these elections and to the regulation for international and national observers that has assured a perfect control of the elections process.

Finally, the Council of Ministers’ Press and Quick Reaction Unit has released a video announcing that the July 29 national elections would be regarded as the “best” in Cambodia’s history.
The 14-minute documentary, titled Will the July general election be liberal, pluralistic, and democratic? draws on four points to reach its conclusion.
The election process would be smooth and free, multiparty, open to observers and without violence, the video says.
Noting that there are 20 political parties vying in the elections despite the country only having eight million voters, the video says: “Cambodia is setting another good example for other countries in terms of pluralism, which is the basic principle of a democratic election.”
“In brief,” in continues, “the general election scheduled for July 29, could be considered one of the best elections in Cambodia’s history.
“Best election in the sense that this election will be held with the participation of so many political parties coupled with strict implementation of three main principles – being liberal, pluralistic, and democratic – principles that are the best foundation for an election.
“Last but not least, this coming election will be conducted in a peaceful and nonviolent manner and free from rhetorical quarrel,” the commentator says.
The video ends with the stand that democracy in Cambodia is maturing and that no one can destroy it

The mission is part of a global effort of monitoring by World Election Monitors Organization (WEMO) and is appreciated, according to NATIONAL ELECTION COMMITTEE OF CAMBODIA statements that 50.000 national and international observers will be taken part.
The global mission started his activities on July4th with a press conference and an exposé of targets and objectives.
Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, Head of International Observers Team for Cambodia 2018 Elections, launched the mission at a press conference on 4 July, stressing the importance of Cambodia’s parliamentary elections for the country’s stability.
On this occasion the official launch of the website of Election Observation Mission for Cambodia has taken place.
Professor Dr. Anton Caragea explained all that World Elections Monitors Organization (WEMO) Observation Missions use a common methodology underpinned by the principles of impartiality, objectivity, independence and non-interference. ‘’International Election Observation Missions are responsible for their own conclusions and do not receive instructions neither from the European institutions nor by member states’ governments.’’.
The Head of International Observers Team for Cambodia 2018:
H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea
The Head of International Observers Team detailed the long-term monitoring methodology.
The election observation mission for the Kingdom of Cambodia 2018 will cover the political campaign, pre-election preparations, election day – polling, counting and tabulation of results – and the complaints and appeals process as well as the announcement of results.
This will include a thorough analysis of the legal framework, the work of the election administration, campaign activities, the conduct of the media in covering the elections, and the mechanisms for electoral disputes.
The mission will meet election stakeholders, including government officials, election administration bodies, candidates and representatives from political parties, members of civil society and the media, the judiciary, amongst others.

Elections observers pose for a photo with the Head of International Electoral Observation Team- President Dr. Anton Caragea.
How do you make an observation mission?
Election observation gives the opportunity to assess an electoral process according to international standards. The members of World Electors Monitors Organization (WEMO) are leading global actors in providing technical electoral assistance complementary to election observation.
This dual form of election support constitutes a significant contribution to the promotion of governance and development objectives.

What is an observation mission?
An observation mission assesses all aspects of the electoral process, its constitutional and legal framework, the delimitation of constituencies, the registration of voters and candidates, the training of election staff, voter education, media coverage, the campaign and the preparations for election day, as well as the appeals process.
On election day, observers visit pooling stations in order to observe the opening, voting, counting and aggregation of results.
What are the principles of an electoral monitoring mission?
Its fundamental principles are full coverage, impartiality, transparency and professionalism. Its ultimate objective is to become superfluous by entrenching democracy deep within each nation through the development of national capacities.
Its main goals are the legitimization of an electoral process, where appropriate, and the enhancement of public confidence in the electoral process to deter fraud, to strengthen respect for human rights, and to contribute to conflict resolution.
♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
EUCIR special monitoring procedures
Members of an Election Observation Mission undertake a range of activities, including monitoring the media and election campaigns, reviewing the election law, the constitution and commitments the country is signed on to, in detail.
They also examine the election machinery from polling clerks to the administrator as well as observe training. The team generally attempts to meet all the key stakeholders and party political activists. They attend party rallies, meet candidates, civil society organisations, academics, etc..
The observer team usually holds press conferences at the start and end of their visits, and at the end of the mission, the team prepares a report that is available to the public.

As the people of Cambodia are preparing to go to the urns to elect their leaders in what was generally described as the freest and most open electoral competition the country`s top election watchdog: National Election Committee (NEC) hailed the prospect of multi-party democracy with the registration of 20 parties for a July general election.
“Now, we have 20 political parties registered, this shows a multi-party democracy,” NEC spokesman Dim Sovannarom told a news briefing.
Prime Minister of Cambodia, Academician HUN SEN had insured an open and competitive climate for the July 2018 elections earning him global plaudits.
“This is an opportunity for people, in every five years, to chose their leaders,” he added.
Twenty political parties registered to participate in the upcoming national election in July as the 15-day window to register candidates came to an end yesterday.
Dim Sovannarom, spokesman for the National Election Committee, said during a press conference yesterday that 20 political parties have registered to contest the election on July 29.
“In total, 20 political parties have registered at the NEC,” Mr Sovannarom said. “The NEC will carry out its duty according to the law to ensure the electoral process is free and fair.”
Mr Sovannarom said that four political parties, Cambodian People’s Party, Cambodian Youth Party, Cambodian Nationality Party and Khmer National United Party, were officially recognized by the NEC so far.
He said that the NEC will follow its procedure to review the documents of the other 16 political parties that have registered.
Mr Sovannarom said that 20 parties are taking part in the election on July 29, noting that eight political parties took part in the 2013 election.
“It showcases that multiple-party democracy is flourishing,” Mr Sovannarom said. “We are walking on the road of multiple-party democracy to hold the election on July 29.”
Among the recognized parties are the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) of Prime Minister Samdech Academician Hun Sen, the royalist Funcinpec Party of Prince Norodom Ranariddh, and the Grassroots Democracy Party.
The Southeast Asian nation is scheduled to hold a national election for the 125-seat parliament on July 29 and approximately 8.3 million Cambodians are eligible to cast their ballots.
Speaking during a get-together with thousands of garment factory workers in southwestern Kampong Speu province, Academician Hun Sen renewed his call for the people to vote in the forthcoming election, saying it would be the only chance for them to elect their leaders once in every five years.
According to the NEC, the three-week electoral campaign will start from July 7 to 27 2018 and according to international observers the poll is promising to respect the principles of free, fair and transparent elections.

The Council of Ministers’ Press and Quick Reaction Unit has released a video announcing that the July 29 national elections would be regarded as the “best” in Cambodia’s history.
The video ends with the stand that democracy in Cambodia is maturing and that no one can destroy it.

Under President Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela has become one of the leaders of the democratic world.
President Nicolas Maduro has just return to Caracas after a tour of Kazakhstan, Algeria, Middle East ( having meetings with leaders of Turkey, Iran, Kazakhstan,Russia and Algeria) and from 16 to 17 September 2017 will host the WORLD CONFERENCE: WE ARE ALL VENEZUELA. DIALOG FOR PEACE, SOVEREIGNTY AND BOLIVARIAN DEMOCRACY.
Venezuelan capital-Caracas will host the leaders interested in world democratic dialogue and values in a two days long global dialogue.
In less than a week the Bolivarian revolution leader has succeeded in linking Venezuela with the main petrol exporting countries, managed to create a bridge of friendship between Latin America and Central Asia and will play host to world leaders and democratic movement heads garnering not only to express support for Venezuela but also to enact the Bolivarian diplomacy, the concept carved out and placed at the fore by the Venezuelan president.
The call to the WORLD CONFERENCE: WE ARE ALL VENEZUELA. DIALOG FOR PEACE, SOVEREIGNTY AND BOLIVARIAN DEMOCRACY! is the most complete and exhaustive description of the main aims of Bolivarian diplomacy and must be regarded as a crux in the development of a multipolar world, a world of democracy and peace.
In order to better understand this call for global peace, launched with the help and supervision of President Nicolas Maduro we are presenting in full the text of the message to the peoples of the world:
MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD
FOR PEACE, SOVEREIGNTY AND DEMOCRACY IN VENEZUELA
We, citizens of the world, workers, members of social movements, civil rights organizations and political parties, academics, intellectuals and creators, denounce before humanity the international conspiracy led by the Government of Donald Trump against the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, its Government and its legitimate authorities.
Under a speech of racial supremacy, intolerance and warmongering, which remind us of the darkest times of fascism, the Government of Donald Trump wages a political, diplomatic, economic and media aggression, including the military option, to undermine Venezuelan democracy, to overthrow President Nicolas Maduro and to establish a government that serves the interests of Washington.
The neocolonial restoration process in Venezuela seeks to deprive the Venezuelan people from its sovereignty and return to the global powers control over the immense riches and resources of the country.
This conspiracy against a sovereign country, which openly violates international law, makes progress thanks to the full support of the great media transnational companies, and the shameful support of neoliberal and antigrassroots governments.
Last April, a US financed political violence campaign began – through the Venezuelan opposition – and was presented to the world as civil and pacific protests. In addition to this propaganda, a smear campaign was also launched against the Venezuelan democracy before the world public opinion, by projecting Venezuela’s government as a dictatorship that violates human rights and drives the country into an alleged deep humanitarian crisis.
Truth is that the only purpose of this campaign is to overthrow the legitimate Government of Venezuela by spreading death, chaos and violence, following the style of the “Color Revolutions”. Since then, more than a hundred people have died and more than two thousand people have been wounded.
The political violence promoted by Washington has caused significant material damage and suffering to the Venezuelan people.
The latest manifestation of this plot is the discredit of the elections held on July 30th, in which eight millions of Venezuelans elected a National Constituent Assembly.
Thanks to the National Constituent Assembly election, the Venezuelan people defeated violence in the streets and restored peace. From July 30th, a process of stabilization of civil and political life has begun through the participation of all the political parties in the next regional elections for governors to be held in October.
Due to the latest threat of military force by Donald Trump and the financial blockade imposed on Venezuela, the supremacist government of Washington
has intensified the conflict, and has publicly expressed its intention to “choke” the Venezuelan economy.
We reject the escalating aggressions against Venezuela by the US administration.
Venezuela is a nation that has been building people’s democracy in a peaceful manner for 18 years now.
The Bolivarian democracy has returned the control of natural resources to the country, has redistributed wealth in favor of the working class and the humble sectors of society, and has guaranteed the social rights of all its population.
President Nicolas Maduro is welcomed around the world as a messenger of peace, democracy and dialogue.
Venezuela social achievements in the field of education, health care, social protection, social security universalization and indigenous communities’ rights have proven that it is possible to make democracy more democratic.
Its ecosocialist approach challenges those who impose the plundering of common goods of humanity by transnational elites.
Venezuela does not represent a threat to any country in the world. Since its independence, more than 200 years ago, it has never engaged in a military conflict, nor has it ever participated in wars or aggressions against other nations.
For the peace-loving people and the peoples of the world, Venezuela is a beacon of hope. This hope is threatened today by the supremacist ideology of Washington. The US ruling elite has decided to block political dialog in Venezuela and bring this country into a fratricidal conflict in order to justify this elite’s intervention plan.
We alert the world to the serious threat to world peace created by the warmongering obsession of Donald Trump. A military aggression against Venezuela or the overthrow of the Bolivarian Revolution will cause in the hemisphere a crisis of historic proportions in all orders, and will break integrationist efforts, taking away the purposes of all the nations of our region that have declared Latin America and the Caribbean a zone of peace.
The world must stop Washington madness. In the name of humanity, we demand that Donald Trump withdraw the threat of military aggression and repeal the economic sanctions and financial blockade against the Venezuelan people.
For all the above reasons, we call on all respectable men and women, from all places, ideologies and beliefs, on those who dream of a world of justice and equality, to join the WORLD CONFERENCE: WE ARE ALL VENEZUELA. DIALOG FOR PEACE, SOVEREIGNTY AND BOLIVARIAN DEMOCRACY, to be held in Caracas, Venezuela, on September 16th and 17th, and from that date on, in various parts of the world.
This day of global mobilization will bring together the solidarity of the peoples with the homeland of Simon Bolivar.
Venezuela is not alone. Today, we honor the brave Venezuelan people in their struggle for peace and dialog and in their defense of national dignity and sovereignty.
Mahatma Gandhi said: “There is no way to peace, peace is the only way.”
And Che Guevara, with his example of humanity, affirmed: “Solidarity is the tenderness of the peoples”.
In view of the imperial threat and warmongering, let us say today in the words of the great poet Pablo Neruda, our flag and our victory will be peace.
“Peace for the twilights to come …peace for the city in the morning when bread wakes up…”
Peace so that Venezuela continues to illuminate the future.
